CABEI raises financing limits outside Central America

The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) said it could increase loans by $1.98 billion after it raised the financing limits for member nations outside the region. CABEI also said it increased the limits for non-founding member nations in the region. The increase rises the maximum leverage to a factor of 20 from 10, CABEI said in a press release on Thursday.
