Colombia pays down debt with bond proceeds

Colombia has spent $919 million from a $1.62 billion bond sale this week to buy back notes that mature in 2023 and 2024, the finance ministry said in a press release. The country repurchased $319 million worth of 2.625% 2023 bonds as well as $381 million worth of 4% 2024 bonds and $218 million worth of 8.125% 2024 bonds.
