Peru's Grupo Gloria agreed to buy Chilean dairy producer Soprole, more than a year after New Zeland's Fonterra Co-operative Group put the company up for sale.
Gloria agreed to acquire Santiago-based Santiago-based Soprole for $210 million and pay off its debt to Fonterra, according to a securities filing.
Fonterra, the world's largest dairy exporter, said the deal would cost Gloria a total of CLP591 billion ($627 million), including Soprole's equity and debt. The final price will reflect capital
