Italian utility company Enel is considering the sale of its operations in Peru as a means to reduce debt and finance new investments, Bloomberg reported. The possible sale has sparked interest among strategic investors and investment funds, and could be worth about €5 billion ($5.12 billion), the news agency wrote, citing sources familiar with the matter.
