IDB Invest, the private sector affiliate of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), is reviewing loan requests from Peruvian fishing company Exalmar and Barbados' port authority Barbados Port Incorporated (BPI). Exalmar has asked for a $40 million loan, including an uncommitted trach for as much as $20 million, to fund its investment plans and add to working capital, according to information on IDB Invest's website. The company borrowed $148 million in July last year from a banking syndicate
