Colombian airline Avianca said it will evaluate how to move ahead with a proposed tie-up with low-cost carrier Viva Air after the country's civil aviation authority objected to the deal on competition concerns.
The airline said in a release the tie-up would allow it to help turn Viva around, thereby protecting passengers and jobs.
