Mexico’s state-owned electric utility CFE paid out about CAD85 million ($100 million) to Canadian energy firm ATCO after losing arbitration case over a canceled pipeline project, according to a Reuters report.
The London Court of International Arbitration ruled in ATCO’s favor in October 2021 and CFE paid the fine in December, the news agency said, citing sources familiar with the matter.
