Ecopetrol pays back ISA acquisition loan

Colombia's state-owned oil company Ecopetrol has paid back ahead of schedule a $1.2 billion loan that it used to finance the acquisition of public services company ISA, it said in a press release. Ecopetrol got the three-year loan from international banks in August last year to cover part of the $3.67 billion deal to buy the central government's 51.4% stake in ISA.
