Mibanco issues social bonds in Colombia

The Colombian subsidiary of Peruvian microlender Mibanco sold COP113 billion ($28.4 million) worth of social bonds in the local market on Thursday, according to information from the BVC stock exchange in Bogotá. Mibanco priced the three-year notes at a fixed rate of 9% with Credicorp as the sole structuring agent, according to the BVC.  The microlender plans to use the proceeds to fund for loans to microenterprises led by women, the BVC said on Twitter the same day.
