Alsea appoints new CEO

Mexican restaurant operator Alsea said that Fernando González has taken over as CEO after joining the company as deputy CEO in June last year, according to a securities filing. González replaces Alberto Torrado, who remains with the company as chairman of the board. Earlier this month, Alsea sold €300 million ($339 million) worth of five-year bonds in euros to pay off $322 million in bank loans.
