Vista Oil & Gas, the third-biggest oil producer in Argentina, said Monday that it agreed to pay $140 million to acquire the 50% stake of Germany's Wintershall Deal in two blocks in Vaca Muerta, a huge shale deposit that it is targeting for growth in oil and natural gas production. The deal will boost its stakes to 100% in the Aguada Federal and Bandurria Norte blocks in northern Patagonia, Mexico City-based Vista said in a press release.
