Sumitomo Chemical, part of the Japanese business group Sumitomo, has carried out a three-part debenture deal in Brazil to support the sale of BRL319 million ($61.5 million) in agribusiness receivables certificates, known as CRAs, a company source confirmed on Thursday. Sumitomo Chemical sold BRL271 million in senior notes to securitization company Vert along with BRL31.9 million in a mezzanine series and BRL15.9 million in a subordinated tranche.
