Vista, the third-biggest oil producer in Argentina, said it has acquired the assets of US-based ConocoPhillips in Argentina as it pushes ahead on an ambitious plan to develop the large shale oil and natural gas resources in Vaca Muerta.
Vista bought 100% of ConocoPhillips Argentina, a deal that gains it 50% stakes in two oil fields — Aguada Federal and Bandurria Norte — in northern Patagonia, the company said in a press release late on Thursday.
