Brazilian financial co-operative Sicredi plans to issue up to $100 million in green bonds in a private placement with IDB Invest, an affiliate of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), according to documents on the multilateral lender's website.
IDB Invest's board is expected to approve the deal on October 19. Sicredi will use the proceeds to provide green loans to micro-, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) with annual sales from $70,000 to $1.16 million per year, according to IDB In
