Eletroriver and BSB Energética have taken on Abu Dhabi-based sovereign wealth fund Mubadala and made a matching offer to buy the hydroelectric power plant operator Brasil PCH from Renova Energia, according to a securities filing.
Mubadala offered to buy Renova's stake in Brasil PCH for BRL1.1 billion ($210 million) in July and it maintains the rights to match any counter-offers that the Brazilian company could receive.
