Japan's SoftBank said Tuesday that it plans to raise $3 billion through a new fund to invest in digital technology companies in Latin America as the Buenos Aires-based e-commerce company MercadoLibre and venture capital firm Kasek Ventures also seek fresh funds for investments in the region.
SoftBank said it is launching SoftBank Latin America Fund II, its second dedicated private investment fund focused on technology companies in the region.
