Brazilian petrochemical company Braskem said Thursday that its Dutch subsidiary has signed a memorandum of understanding with SCG Chemicals to study the construction of a green plastics production plant in Thailand.
The new bio-ethanol dehydration plant would produce bio-ethylene and bio-based polyethylene at SCG Chemicals' petrochemical complex in the province of Rayong, Brasekem said in a securities filing.
