Argentine home appliances retailer Grupo Garbarino plans to sell a 51% stake in its Compumundo chain of electronics stores as it tries to avoid falling into bankruptcy on mounting debts and lackluster sales. The group said it will offer 58.65 million of the shares it owns in Compumundo at auction on September 15, with the stake going to the highest bidder, according to a public call for bids.
