Argentine President Alberto Fernández and his Uruguayan counterpart, Luis Lacalle Pou, have agreed to seek financing from the Latin American development bank CAF to build a cross-border bridge, media outlets in both countries reported on Tuesday.
The bridge will cross the Uruguay River between Monte Caseros, Argentina and Bella Unión, Uruguay, helping to boost commerce and tourism on both sides of the border and trade with nearby Brazil, according to the reports.
