French retailer Carrefour and rival Grupo Pão de Açúcar (GPA), which is controlled by the French retailer Casino, have made key appointments in their management in Brazil.
Marco de Oliveira was named CEO of Atacadão, the cash and carry division of Carrefour, by the company’s board of directors, a move that comes after a two-year transition period during which he was the co-leader with Roberto Müssnich, the company said in a statement. Oliveira is a 17-year veteran of Carrefour.
