Volaris prepares local green bonds

Mexican low-cost airline Volaris is preparing to issue MXN1.5 billion ($74.6 million) in green bonds in the local market before the end of the year, looking to raise the money to renew its fleet and reduce fuel costs, CEO Enrique Beltranena was quoted as saying by Bloomberg on Wednesday. The company has said it wants to add 25 Airbus A320neo aircraft to its fleet in the next 18 months to end the year with 101 aircraft and 113 by the end of 2022, according to its second quarter financial results.
