Cemex outlines restart for plant in Dominican Republic

Mexican cement company Cemex will invest $20 million to restart the San Pedro de Macorís plant in the Dominican Republic that has been out of operations since 2015, according to a report in the local newspaper Diario Libre. Cemex plans to reopen the plant in late 2021 or early 2022,  The plant is expected to start operations at the end of 2021 or the beginning of 2022, Juan Rijo, director of operations at the Mexican company's local subsidiary, said in an interview with a Diario Libre published
