Fundraising by Brazilian companies in capital markets hit a 10-year high in the first half of the year, rising 65% year-on-year to reach BRL253 billion ($48.1 billion) from January to June 2021, according to figures from the local capital markets association Anbima.
The first-half totals in 2021 amounted to two-thirds of what Brazilian companies raised in the capital markets last year, boosted by BRL151 billion in the second quarter, Anbima said.
