Chile completed its largest bond sale in local currency this year, issuing CLP1.5 trillion ($2.05 billion) worth of Euroclearable social bonds in a deal that was 1.8 times oversubscribed, sources told LatinFinance. International investors acquired 47% of the new 2028 notes issued under Chilean law, while local institutional investors, including pension funds, bought 28% and banks took 19%, Andrés Pérez Morales, head of advisers and international finance at the Finance Ministry, said in an email.
