Mexico's financial markets could react negatively if the party of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador performs well in legislative elections on June 6, fearing changes to curtail private investment in the energy sector, according to analysts. Members of the president's party, Morena, are expected to keep a majority in the Chamber of Deputies and set the agenda for the second of half of AMLO's six-year term, Alonso Cervera, chief economist for Latin America at Credit Suisse, told LatinFinance.
