Brazil's Congress is expected to pass a bill within the next two months to cut taxes on bonds issued abroad to fund infrastructure projects at home, Infrastructure Minister Tarcísio Gomes de Freitas told LatinFinance on Tuesday.
"There is an ongoing modernization of the financial system in Brazil in order to cut the credit gap. We have been modernizing our swap system. We will soon approve new legislation for debenture issues," he said.
