The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) said Thursday that it had granted a $20 million loan for Peru to finance the acquisition of electric vehicles for public transport.
The IDB provided a 20.5-year, $10.5 million loan from its ordinary capital and a 20-year, $9.5 million tranche from the Clean Technology Fund. The first tranches comes with a 6.5-year grace period, while the second tranche puts off payments for 10.5 years, the IDB said in a press release.
