Brazil receives one bid for FIOL railroad concession

Brazil’s land transport agency ANTT auctioned the first stretch of the Ferrovia de Integração Oeste Leste (FIOL) railroad concession to Bahia-based miner Bahia Mineração (Bamin) after receiving just one bid for the 35-year concession. Bamin, a subsidiary of Kazakhstan's Eurasian Resources Group, offered the minimum bid of BRL32.7 million ($5.87 million ) for the FIOL concession during an auction at the B3 stock exchange in São Paulo on Thursday.
