Mexico's local bond market has 12 to 14 transactions worth MXN50 billion ($2.48 billion) in the pipeline for April and May, many involving environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) bonds, Yamur Muñoz, the head of capital markets at HSBC in Mexico, told LatinFinance. "For Mexico, that is a lot in two months," he said. The Mexican bond market got off to a slow start in 2021, following a sluggish 2020 in which only about MXN200 billion was issued during the COVID-19 pandemic, Muñoz said
