CABEI sets up shop in Taiwan

The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) plans to open a representative office in Taiwan in June this year and establish its first branch in Asia, it said in a press release on Thursday. Taiwan was one of the first countries to become a member from outside Central America and is now the largest single shareholder with an 11.5% stake in the Tegucigalpa-based development bank, according to CABEI.
