Brazilian healthcare company Hapvida moved BRL2.7 billion ($495 million) in a follow-on equity offering in the local market, raising money to fund the acquisition of Notre Dame Intermédica, it said in a securities filing.
Fortaleza-based Hapvida kept BRL2.03 billion from a primary offering after pricing the shares at BRL15.00 each, while selling shareholders took the rest from a secondary offering. Shares in Hapvida fell 2.75% to close at BRL14.86 on Thursday.
