Argentine fertilizer maker Profertil has registered a five-year, $500 million bond program for making its debut in the local market, according to documents filed with securities regulator CNV. Profertil, a joint venture of Canadian fertilizer producer Nutrien and Argentina's state-backed energy company YPF, said it could issue new notes in pesos, US dollars or other currencies and will use the proceeds for working capital, refinancing debts and investments, according to the prospectus.
