Colombian gold miner Mineros said Thursday that its subsidiary Hemco had acquired 10% of a mineral processing plant in Nicaragua and increased its total stake to 85%.
Medellín-based Mineros said it will pay $1.3 million for another 100 shares in Vesmisa, a mineral processing plant in the autonomous region of Caribe Norte in northeast Nicaragua.
In early March, Mineros took full ownership of the Luna Roja exploration project in Nicaragua after buying 50% from Royal Road Minerals for $24.5 millio
