Chilean chemical company SQM plans to raise $1.12 billion in an upcoming share sale to finance investments, including a joint venture for lithium production in Australia, according to a securities filing.
Santiago-based SQM said it plans to sell 22.4 million new shares for $50 each in the follow-on offering, a slight discount on the closing share price of $52.27 on Friday.
The subscription period for the new shares runs from March 26 until April 24, SQM said in the filing.
