Buenos Aires province vowed Friday to pay its $7.15 billion in external bonds, even as creditors sue the sub-sovereign for repayment after more than a year of negotiations have failed to reach a restructuring deal.
"We remain open to dialogue with the creditors to reach an agreement that the province can handle," Gov. Axel Kicillof said in a one-hour press conference.
As it stands now, however, the debt is "not payable," he added.
