IEnova, the Mexican subsidiary of US energy company Sempra Energy, said Friday that it spent $80 million to take full control of Energía Sierra Juárez, a wind power complex in the city of Tecate in Baja California.
Saavi Energía, owned by British emerging markets investment firm Actis, previously owned 50% of Energía Sierra Juárez, while IEnova had the other 50%. IEnova agreed to buy out Saavi in January this year.
