IDB Invest lends to Creditas

IDB Invest, the private sector division of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), said Thursday that it granted $30 million in financing for Brazilian financial technology firm Creditas to increase loans to small business owners during the COVID-19 pandemic. The loan is part of an agreement between the IDB and Japan's SoftBank to offer "tech-enabled solutions" for financial inclusion in Latin America, IDB Invest said in a press release.
