The Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) plans to approve a deal by the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) to sell local banking operations to a consortium of banks from the region, the Caribbean Association of Banks (CAB) said in a press release on Friday. RBC announced in December 2019 that it had agreed to sell its branches in the Eastern Caribbean to five others lenders for an undisclosed amount.
