Chilean chemical company SQM said Wednesday that it plans to raise $1.1 billion from the a share sale to finance investment projects, including a new joint venture for lithium production in Australia to feed rising demand for electric cars.
The company is seeking regulatory approval to sell 22.4 million shares, according to a document filed with the securities regulator CMF.
