Colombia's state-owned oil company Ecopetrol said Tuesday that it had entered exclusive talks with the finance ministry to buy a controlling stake in the government-backed holding company ISA.
Ecopetrol and the ministry have until June 30 to reach an agreement, unless both sides agree to extend the talks, the company said in a statement.
Ecopetrol said last week that the finance ministry had accepted its non-binding offer to buy the government's 51.4% stake in ISA for an undisclosed amount. The
