IDB raises funds from Japan's Fukoku Life

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) said Tuesday that it raised $50 million to "reduce poverty and inequalities in Latin America and the Caribbean" through a private placement with Japan's Fukoku Mutual Life Insurance Company. The IDB priced the 15-year notes with a coupon of 1.5% in its first private placement this year of sustainable development bonds (SDBs), the Washington DC-based development bank said in a press release.
