Spain's Minsait buys card processor in Chile

Minsait Payments, a Spanish payments processing firm, said Wednesday that it has signed a binding agreement to acquire Chilean rival Nexus for an undisclosed amount from five banks as it seeks to expand its business in Latin America. Minsait, a subsidiary of Spanish technology and consulting firm Indra, will acquire 100% of Nexus from Chilean lenders BancoEstado, Banco de Chile and Banco BCI as well as the local subsidiaries of Brazil's Itaú Unibanco and Canada's Scotiabank, according to a press
