The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) has granted $1.7 billion in loans to fund programs in Colombia, Ecuador and Guatemala, it said in press releases this week.
The Washington DC-based multilateral lender said it provided a $800 million loan to support economic growth in Colombia along with $500 million to stimulate a recovery in Ecuador. It also supplied a 25-year contingency loan for $400 million to counteract the effects of natural disasters and public health emergencies in Guatemala.
