British-Dutch oil company Shell won five oil field concessions in the Santos Basin at an auction on Thursday, including one in partnership with Colombia's Ecopetrol, as Brazil's state-owned company Petrobras and other potential bidders did not present offers.
"These new blocks are adding to our extensive portfolio in Brazil, where we have acted as operators since the early 1990s," André Araújo, CEO of Shell in Brazil, said in a statement.
