IDB funds cash transfers in Bolivia

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) said it approved a $500 million loan for a cash transfer program in Bolivia to aid people without steady income during the COVID-19 pandemic. The money will go to one-time transfers through Bono Contra el Hambre, or Bond Against Hunger, and to people over 60 without retirement income through Renta Dignidad, or Dignified Income, the IDB said in a press release on Thursday.
