Brazilian department store chain Casa & Video filed for an initial public offering (IPO) on Friday, saying it planned to raise money to open new stores, invest in digital retail and expand its own product lines.
The Rio de Janeiro-based home appliance retailer hired Itaú BBA, Santander, BTG Pactual, Citi and XP Investimentos to coordinate a primary and secondary offering on the Novo Mercado segment of the B3 Stock Exchange in São Paulo, it said in a preliminary prospectus.
