Argentina's state-backed energy company YPF said Friday that it has launched an offer to exchange $6.2 billion in international bonds for new notes with longer maturities, similar interest rates and no capital reduction, a move aimed at reducing its near-term payments after a plunge in revenue during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
