Mainstream Renewable Power said Tuesday that it reached financial close on the second phase of a wind and solar power platform in Chile in what it called "one of the largest renewable energy debt financing deals undertaken in the world this year."
The Irish company borrowed $620 million from five lenders – IDB Invest, KfW IPEX-Bank, DNB, CaixaBank and MUFG – and took out a VAT facility from Santander, Mainstream said in a press release.
