Brazil's Notre Dame Intermédica has agreed to buy private healthcare company Climepe Total for BRL168 million ($31.8 million) to be paid upon closing the transaction, according to a securities filing from Tuesday.
Based in Poços de Caldas in the state of Minas Gerais, Climepe operates a hospital that opened in 2016, a day clinic and an imaging diagnostic center. It manages 33,000 healthcare plans and 6,000 dental plans, Intermédica said in the filing.
