Brazilian renewable energy company Omega Geração said Thursday that it will set aside funds from an upcoming share sale to buy wind power projects from the state-owned power company Eletrobras for BRL1.52 billion ($292 million), including debt.
Omega said its board approved a BRL500 million share sale to add to its BRL886 million in cash reserves and raise money for the Eletrobras deal and other possible acquisitions in the coming months.
